Heavy Rain has caused some issues in the Harrison area including a sink hole on a road.
The sinkhole has formed off HWY 206 on Blackshire Road west of Bellefonte. Boone County Road Supervisor Kelly Mulford tells Ozarks First that the sinkhole is 2-2.5 feet wide at the surface and has a cavern 6×8 feet wide under the surface, 4 feet deep.
Boone County officials say they can’t start on repairs until the water is gone, but they hope to begin filling in the hole today if the weather cooperates. The road in that area is currently down to one lane.
Several other low water crossings in Harrison and around Boone County were closed due to the high water.
