Heat Warnings/Advisories Continue for the Lakes Region

The Lakes Region continues to bake in a late summer heat wave.

The Excessive Heat Warning for the Missouri Lakes Region continues until Wednesday while Boone and Marion County Arkansas have now been added to the Excessive Heat Warning through Monday while the rest of northern Arkansas remains in a Heat Advisory.

Air temperatures through much of the region are expected to eclipse 100 pushing Heat Index readings as high as 115.

Officials are advising people to take extra precautions if planning to be outside during the afternoon hours.
