After Fall-Like Weather kept things cooler in the Lakes Region, heat is returning over the next several days.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for most of Missouri. The Watch will go into effect over the weekend with Barry County and the western end of the Lakes Region going under the watch Saturday with the watch beginning for the rest of the region on Sunday and continue through Wednesday evening.
According to the statement from the weather service, Heat Index Readings of up to 112. The Forecast calls for temperatures in the mid to upper 90’s during this time with no rain in the forecast.
While no Heat Advisories are currently in effect for northern Arkansas, similar temperatures are expected in the region during this time.
