As the heatwave continues through the Ozarks, the National Weather Services releases information on the differences between two heat illnesses.
According to their release, signs of Heat Exhaustion include dizziness, thirst, heavy sweating, nausea, and weakness. Individuals with heat exhaustion should move to a cool area, loosen clothing, and sip water.
Untreated head exhaustion could lead to Heat Stroke, which can lead individuals to be confused and lose consciousness. Heat Stoke is life threatening if not treated. 9-1-1 should be called if individuals have those symptoms.
The hot temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week in the Lakes Region.
