The Harrison Youth Triathlon is in its fifth year, according to Caitlin Fornes.
Fornes appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday to discuss the June 29 event. She said the event is free for the community. The goal is to encourage kids from ages five to 17 to get active. Younger participants are welcome to join.
There's an incentive to join the race. Kids get a new bike when they finish the race. Last year, 86 bikes were given. Today, almost 100 kids are registered.
There's a month left to register. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Fornes is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
