A two-vehicle accident in Newton County has claimed the life of a Harrison woman.
Fifty-one-year-old Bretta Grusing was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday evening in Jasper.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Grusing was traveling on Arkansas Highway 7. She was reportedly south of the junction with Arkansas Highway 374 when she lost control. The vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The unidentified driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Rain was falling at the time of the 5:58 p.m. accident.
