The Harrison School District is one of 30 in Arkansas to get funds from American Rescue Plan.
According to a release from Arkansas State University who sponsors the initiative along with the Arkansas Department of Education’s Division of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Arkansas Out of School Network, the Harrison School District will receive a portion of the $1.8 million awarded to 30 school districts in the state.
The release says that this second round of funds, from the American Rescue Plan ESSER III program, will aid the districts in their summer and extended-year learning programs through the Summer Learning Supplemental Grant to aid in a variety of education programs to mitigate the amount of student learning loss due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
