Harrison Police Department's Graddy and Toland Talk new Ordinance, Super Bowl Safety, and More!

Harrison Police Chief Chris Graddy and Lieutenant Michael Toland spoke about safety during the Super Bowl, a city ordinance and more.

During KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast, Graddy said there's a pattern of increased "impaired drivers" on the afternoon of the Super Bowl. He said the Harrison police force will have DWI overtime. Despite this, he encouraged people to have designated drivers. The chief also discussed a new city ordinance.

"We passed a city ordinance called Hazardous Driving. Basically, that is an ordinance that allows the officers to write tickets for different types of violations," Graddy said. He explained this was conceived by a committee made by Mayor Jerry Jackson.

This committee exists because of neighborhood-related speeding. The chief said he shared this solution with the committee. All of this and more was discussed on the broadcast.
