Felony charges have been filed against a man who was engaged in sexual activities with a girl with whom witnesses say he knew was 14-years-old.
23-year-old Dustry James Griffis of Harrison was arrested last week for the incidents that happened last summer.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, the victim was interviewed at the Center for Child Protection in Austin, Texas. During the interview, she gave allegations of sexual abuse by Griffis on multiple occasions last June in Boone County. The encounters happened at a church parking lot and at Griffis’s house.
A witness told investigators he told Griffis the victim was 14 at the time but it didn’t slow him down from pursuing her.
Griffis is facing two felony counts of sexual indecency with a child. He is being held in the Boone County Jail on $25,000 bond.
