A man is behind bars facing several charges involving a minor.
According to information released from the Harrison Police Department, 19-year-old Dawson Craig of Harrison has been charged with multiple felony offenses, including computer exploitation of a child in the second degree, possession or distribution of material depicting sexual conduct involving a child, and second-degree sexual assault.
According to charging information, Craig is accused of computer exploitation of a child in the second degree, a felony offense involving the alleged use of electronic devices or computer technology in connection with the exploitation of a minor.
Craig also faces a felony charge of distributing, possessing, or viewing material depicting sexual conduct involving a child. Prosecutors allege that the offense involved child sexual abuse material.
In addition, Craig has been charged with second-degree sexual assault, a felony offense under state law.
The charges were filed on Wednesday with an arrest made on Thursday according to online records.
Craig is currently being held in the Boone County Detention Center. No information on a court date has been released.
