
A Harrison man that led law enforcement on a high speed chance is facing multiple charges.
According to court documents, 26-year-old Abraham Garcia of Harrison fled from a traffic stop near Batavia on the morning of September 23 which began a pursuit that saw speeds of over 100 MPH along Highway 392 going towards Harrison. Garcia nearly hit several vehicles during the pursuit while law enforcement made several attempts to end the pursuit. The pursuit took the vehicles through the intersection of Goblin Drive near Harrison Schools as well as the Boone County Government Center on Arbor Drive. Eventually the pursuit moved on to Thickery Drive and went through several yards before finally ending with Garcia being taken into custody.
Garcia is facing charges felony charges of Fleeing Law Enforcement and 1st Degree Criminal Mischief along with five other charges for the incident. Garcia was released after posting a $50,000 Bond and will next appear in Boone County Circuit Court on October 21.
