Harrison Man Faces Charges for Abuse of Elderly Mother

A man is facing charges after an incident in which he is accused of abusing his elderly mother.

According to court documents, 56-year-old Jeremy Young of Harrison was arrested after the incident in early September when he was alleged to have pushed his mother causing her to break her hip and wrist. The women was eventually allowed to call for an ambulance according to the Harrison Police Department's Probable Cause Statement at which time authorities were contacted by personnel from North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. Officers then interviewed the victim and said Young had been intoxicated and was yelling at her prior to injuring her. 

Young is facing a pair felony charges  including second degree domestic battery and abuse of an endangered or impaired person.

Young remains in the Boone County Detention Center on a a $100,000 bond.
