Ward 1 Council Member Mary Jean Creager was recognized at Thursday night's Harrison City Council Committee meeting.
Ward 4 Council Member Wayne Cone read a statement from Harrison Mayor Jerry Jackson in recognition of Creager. Jackson remembered first seeing her work ethic. The mayor went on to state that she researched topics to the point of comprehending them better than likely anyone else. He thanked her for her service to the city over the past 10 years. "We love you and appreciate you," Jackson's statement concluded.
Later, Creager expressed thanks. "Thank you so much. You all don't know what an honor it is to be able to serve," she said. She reflected on accomplishments that occurred during her time of service.
She said serving has been her honor. Creager has worked with Harrison's government for many years.
