Incumbent Candidate for AR House District 6 Harlan Breaux talked about his campaign and several topics on Monday.
Breaux spoke about his race for election on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday. "This will be my third term, and I feel real good about it," he said. He said he has voted for every pro-life bill and ran a couple himself. "And I really feel good about that," he added. He emphasized wanting to have a "servant-attitude."
"If I can help somebody I want to be out here with a servant-attitude," Breaux said. The incumbent also discussed topics people approach him with.
He said the concerns center around books in schools, libraries and the "kind of culture that we're living with today." Breaux said in visiting with schools in the district, it was discovered that the district isn't dealing with those topics. He also talked about taxes.
"I think we're going to do better with that. We're looking to cut out state income tax," Breaux said. He said the ability to do that would be "a wonderful thing." The candidate also said he favors giving teachers more money. However, his view on recreational marijuana legalization isn't one of approval.
"Very, very much against that. I mean Arkansas doesn't need another drug problem, and that's going on all over," he said.
The full interview with Breaux is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
