The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas held a summit this week and has rescheduled a Mobile Food Pantry Stop for Friday.
The food pantry stop is in Harrison today from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church on Bower Street. The mobile food pantry stop was rescheduled due to winter weather.
Earlier this week, the Food Bank of NCA held an advocacy meeting tot help educate area leaders on resources available to help with food insecurity. The meeting included information on available programs to help families and school districts combat this issue.
According to a recap of the meeting posted by KTLO, information was presented from the USDA that Arkansas now ranks first in food insecurity in the country.
