Heavy rains overnight have caused flooding in much of the lakes region.
Several flood advisories and flood warnings are in effect for today due to rains that have already amounted to over two inches in many areas.
The Missouri Department of Transportation and the National Weather Service indicates several state roads are closed currently due to flooding, which includes Highway J near Mincy in Taney County along with Highway 413 between Galena and Crane in Stone County. Highways A and CC in the Hurley area are also reported as closed due to flooding.
Emergency Management in Barry County reports that Campground Number 3 at Roaring River State Park had to be evacuated due to rising water.
Heavy rain is expected to continue off and on throughout the day before moving out of the area early Friday morning.
