FiveStar Talent Contest to Highlight Area Talent

The FiveStar Talent Contest will give people around the region a chance to display their talents.

Ozarks DynaCom, announces the new talent contest that will take place from August 16 through mid-November. After online entries are secured, the public will vote for their favorite acts online and during three live shows.

A combination of audience voting and professional judging will select the finalists and ultimate winners. Both the Ozark Arts Council, based in Harrison and the Branson Regional Arts Council are helping to produce the contest and are benefiting from live event ticket sales.

“The Ozarks’ region deserves a talent contest of this scale,” said Steve Willoughby, General Manager of Ozarks DynaCom who is hosting the new contest. “We are in a unique position, with the contacts, resources and large, multi-media coverage across this region to provide the exposure and coordinate the expertise that a competition of this caliber requires. Our plan is to make the Ozarks DynaCom FiveStar Talent Contest a major event in the region and a huge celebration of talent throughout the Ozarks.”

Contest entries will be accepted online from August 16 through September 12, 2021. Online voting will begin on September 17 and run through October 10, 2021. More than 30 contest semi-finalists will be selected to appear in two live shows. On November 5 semi-final acts will appear at the Owen Theater in Branson and on November 6, a different group of semi-finalists will compete at the Lyric Theater in Harrison. Top contenders from each semi-final will then take part at a championship, live show in Branson on a date still to be determined.

Prize packages will be communicated as those details are confirmed. Information on how to submit an entry for the contest is available now at www.OzarksDynaCom.com and on all five of theirradio stations and related online and social media outlets.

Updates on the contest will be provided on air, online and via social media throughout the duration of the competition on the various media outlets from the Ozark DynaCom Stations:
