Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin stopped by KRZK’s “The Upside” to discuss several topics and visited about some fire prevention tips. The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Month is making smoke alarms work for you. Martin says people should remember to change the batteries twice a year during the time change and test them once a month.
In addition, Martin says with the first cold spell of the season, it is a good time to be make sure heaters, fireplaces, and stoves are working for the upcoming winter months.
