At a meeting earlier this month, the Boone County Quorum Court has approved the sale of the old Federal Building in Harrison to move forward.
According to a recap in the Harrison Daily Times published last week, a resolution was approved by a unanimous vote of the court to sell the property to Tom and Kelly Davenport of Yellville. Their bid for the building was just over $399,000.
The building, which contained several county offices, began experiencing trouble in January of 2022 when a Carbon Monoxide odor caused several employees to become ill. Later, other damage was discovered in the building which led to county leaders deciding to move all of the offices out of that building.
A full recap of the sale can be read in the Harrison Daily Times.
