A building which has had a long history in the community is up for sale.
The Boone County Judge’s office ran an advertisement in the Harrison Daily Times over the weekend announcing that they are accepting sealed bids for the sale of the Federal Building located on North Main Street in Harrison.
According to the ad in the Times, the building, constructed in 1903, is just over 27,000 square feet and is four stories tall. The ad goes on to say that the building is selling for the appraised value of over $531,000.
The federal building has housed several county offices over the years and also once housed the U.S. Post Office.
