The Lakes Region is under an Extreme Cold Warning for this morning.
The National Weather Service says wind chills around 20 below zero are possible as air temperatures are at or just below zero.
The temperatures will remain in the teens today then begin to warm-up over the next several days with highs expected to reach 60 early next week.
Meanwhile, many area roads are still partially to mostly covered though major highways are improved. According to both MODOT and ARDOT, major highways are partially covered to mostly clear while many secondary roads remained covered.
