A singer-songwriter who mixes beat box with his guitar playing outlasts the field in winning the first-ever Ozarks Dynacom Five Star Talent Contest.
Erich Eastman beat out another singer-songwriter, Bri Coleman, and the Bluegrass Group Kentucky Just Us in the final show at the Presley's Theater to win the $1000 Cash Prize and a spot on an upcoming "Branson Country, U.S.A." show at Grand Country Music Hall.
Eastman says some friends of his told him about the contest and encouraged him to submit his video entry. Eastman says he is working toward releasing some of his own material soon.
The finals featured 10 acts who performed with a panel of judges then narrowing the field to three in which Eastman emerged as the winner.
