The replacement of a Sales Tax that would continue to fund Marion County Law Enforcement efforts is going before the voters.
According to a recap by KTLO, the current one half-of-one percent Sales Tax that was passed in 2016 to help fund the building of the Marion County Law Enforcement Center expires next March. Officials are hoping to put a new tax in its place to continue to help the department with their needs going forward. Early voting begins today and will continue through Friday at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Summit and Bull Shoals City Hall. Early voting also goes into Monday at those locations as well as Lazy Acres Firehouse. Election Day next Tuesday, polls are open from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm.
