A man from Louisiana drowns in Table Rock Lake near Branson Thursday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Shannon Summers was holding on to a floating device at Moonshine Beach when he lost his grip and went under water around 3:15. Summers was taken to Cox Medical Center Branson where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
This is the 3rd drowning worked by the Troop D of the Missouri Highway Patrol in 2023.
