An August and September Dry Spell continues to impact the Lakes Region.
The latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows areas north of a Cassville-Kimberling City-Branson line into Severe Drought Level, meaning more cracks visible in soil and ground water levels continuing to drop.
The drought level around the Missouri-Arkansas Border remain at a Moderate Level while areas south and west of Harrison remain Abnormally Dry.
Forecasters continue to predict little rain in the forecast over the next seven days with a surge of summer heat keeping daytime highs mostly in the low to mid 90s.
