The recent rainfall in the Lakes Region has made an impact on the drought conditions.
According to the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, only Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought Levels remain generally north and east of a Blue Eye to Harrison line while areas south and west of that line have no drought being reported.
Counties that are completely or mostly drought free currently include Barry County in Missouri along with Carroll, Madison, and Newton Counties in Arkansas.
Rain continues to be in the forecast for the Lakes Region over the weekend.
