The murder trial of a former area basketball coach and school principal has been delayed for the sixth time.
Last week, the judge in the trial of Rocky Brian Dodson of Omaha granted another motion for a continuance filed a week earlier by the defense attorney. Dodson is accused of murdering his wife, Amanda Christine Dodson, in March 2022. He was the high school principal and boys’ basketball coach at Omaha at the time.
In the court filing, attorney Shane Wilkinson says, he’s been communicating with the prosecution regarding “outstanding discovery material” from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock.
Dodson’s trial is now scheduled for Sept. 11.
