The event to benefit House of Hope in Harrison has a good opening night as the organization reports that $30,000 was raised to help them help the Homeless.
"A Day of Hope" saw several area individuals gather at Harrison Park to raise the money during the three and a half hour event. The individuals had to reach their goal or else spent a night outside at the House of Hope facility, all to bring awareness and financial help to the homeless situation in the Harrison area.
House of Hope says that the event will stay open until June 15 as they look to raise a total of $50,000 that would qualify them for a matching donation.
More information can be found on the Harrison House of Hope Website.
