The first annual Cruising for Vets car, bike, and truck show is on June 11.
Callie Mondy from Camp Jack said during KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Tuesday that the old junior high parking lot will be used for the event; she noted that it is also the new Creekside Community Center parking lot. "We're going to have a huge kids' area," Mondy said.
A bounce house, door prizes and more will be present. "We've got some huge sponsors which means amazing door prizes," Mondy said. She said that because this is a first-time event, any car, truck, bike, or vehicle will be accepted. She added that trophies, placards, gift baskets, and T-shirts will be gifted.
All proceeds aside from costs will go to Camp Jack. "And this is kind of our really big fundraiser for the year," Mondy said. Admission and parking are free. Mondy said it is hoped that "40 (or) so" vendors and over 100 cars will be present. Some live entertainment will be there too.
Mondy also said that food will be available. The full interview with Mondy is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
