The Miss Crawdad Days Pageant is on April 27.
Tamsyn Simon has history with the event going back to 2014. She appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday to talk about it. Female participants will model in gowns, while the males can wear tuxedos, western style clothing.
She explained that the event takes after Louisiana style festivals with their glitz and glam. A range of people can participate.
Boys as old as nine can participate. Simon said females of many ages can join in the fun, even women 40 and up. Signup is possible until 9 p.m. on April 24.
Simon revealed that "Bell of the Boil" is a new category this year that allows models to wear red. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Simon is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
