A couple has filed a second lawsuit against Silver Dollar City after a first was dismissed earlier this year.
According to court documents and a recap by the Branson Tri-Lakes News, Ronald and Tamera Yeaton of Wildwood, Missouri were passengers on the Silver Dollar City Train that derailed in October of 2022. The couple had filed an earlier lawsuit that was dismissed in March. Both are claiming financial losses and other hardships due to the injuries.
The accident was caused by uneven wear on a bearing on one train car along with track wrap according to the Missouri State Fire Marshall Report released in 2023.
More information on the lawsuit can be found on the Branson Tri-Lakes News Website.
