Constant Rainfall Eliminates Drought Concerns for Now

The Ozarks are not currently under any sort of drought condition according to the latest map released from the U.S. Drought Monitor.

During the late winter/early spring, a dry period had put parts of the Lakes Region in an Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought Level, but the recent rains have not only eliminated those conditions in southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, but has mostly eliminated drought conditions throughout both states. Only parts of northern Missouri are at an Abnormally Dry Level. In addition, Arkansas is one of only four states not showing any drought level at all joining Indiana, Kentucky, and Oregon in that category. 

The rainy conditions are expected to continue in the Ozarks with another system moving through beginning Monday night, through Thursday.
