A tip received by a Harrison Police Officer leads to the arrest of fugitives from Tennessee.

At the Thursday evening City Council meeting, Police Chief Chris Graddy shared more details about the recent arrest and apprehension of a late-model truck and stolen weapons.
One of the officers who is a part of the Drug Task Force received a tip that two juveniles were headed to Harrison in a white 2008 Toyota Tundra that had been stolen from Dover, Tennessee. They were also suspects in the theft of firearms from Benton County, Tennessee
Graddy told the council he was very proud of the team and the officer who had built a relationship with the former criminal who has since turned his life around and shared this information with the officer. The officer had arrested the informant many times in the past.
Officers with the Harrison Police Department and the 14th Judicial District Drug
Task Force stopped the vehicle on U.S. Highway 65 south near its intersection with Main Street. The juveniles were placed under arrest for theft by receiving and minor in possession of handguns. Fourteen firearms and the stolen Toyota were recovered with a property value of approximately $20,000. The juveniles were transported to a juvenile holding facility and will be held for Tennessee authorities.
