Charges have been filed against a man that led Law Enforcement on a High-Speed Pursuit through Harrison last week.
According to court documents, 41-year-old Dustin Kidwell of Harrison if facing felony charges of fleeing and second-degree criminal mischief for the incident on April 20 when a Harrison Police Officer tried to make a traffic stop on the car being driven by Kidwell because it showed it was unconfirmed for having valid insurance.
Kidwell accelerated which led to the chase that lasted around seven minutes through the city with Kidwell running multiple stop signs. Kidwell’s speed reached up to over 100 MPH while at times driving through a 35 MPH Zone.
The second of two tactical vehicle interventions eventually brought an end to the pursuit of the vehicle. The Harrison Police Unit as well as a parked truck hit by Kidwell’s vehicle were damaged during the incident.
Kidwell is in the Boone County Detention Center with his bond set at $40,000.
