A central Arkansas man has been arrested on a sexual assault charge for his relationship with an underage teen in Marion County.
Law- enforcement were made aware of the relationship when the victim’s father reported his 15-year-old daughter is seven-months pregnant.
Charged in the case is 21-year-old Derrick Wayne Grinder of Quitman. He is facing a felony charge of sexual assault in the fourth degree.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Grinder admitted to authorities he knew the victim was under the age of 18. Their relationship started when the victim was 13 and their sexual relationship started when she was 14.
Grinder is being held on a $15,000 bond.
