Callie Mondy from the American Legion and Camp Jack joined KHOZ’s Around The Table on Thursday to discuss an upcoming event for first responders and more.
This year the National Guard has been added to the event which is set to take place on Monday. “The award was obviously created for Jack Williams,” Mondy said. Camp Jack is named after Williams. Mondy said the National Guard should be considered for the award because they are first responders.
Any first responder from last year who has shown or exceeded their duties is eligible. The event begins Monday at 6 p.m. at Camp Jack. Mondy said this award and ceremony are a longstanding tradition. The tickets for the event are $20. The full show with Mondy is on Around The Table’s Facebook Page.
