The area's resource for veterans and their families is celebrating their move back to their newly refurbished building.
The Jack Williams Veterans Resource Center, known as Camp Jack, will celebrate their Grand Reopening on Wednesday morning at 11:00 am at the old Amory location on Pine Street. The organization has been headquartered there since their formation in 2020 but have just recently moved back in after building renovations.
Jeff Nielson, President/CEO of the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce, talked about the event during a recent visit to KHOZ's "Around the Table" program. Nielson said many elected officials have been invited to be a part of the reopening celebration.
Camp Jack has been back in the facility for a couple of weeks and is beginning the resumption of many programs. A post on their Facebook page indicates that the group's Food Pantry for Veterans will reopen on Wednesdays beginning on August 20.
