Nina Wood, the widow of Ranger Boats Founder Forrest Wood, passed away earlier this week at the age of 90.
According to a report posted by KTLO, the couple began operating a fishing guide and float trip service in the late 1950s. In 1968, the Woods co-founded Wood Manufacturing Co., Inc., in Flippin to manufacture Ranger Boats. They couple also operated a successful farm near Flippin.
Forest Wood passed away in January of 2020.
According to the report, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Flippin Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
