The City of Bull Shoals has a new Police Chief.
Mayor David Nixon says John Ainsworth is now at the helm of the department, following the medical separation of former Chief James “Jim” Kuckenbecker.
Mayor Nixon says Kuckenbecker’s last day with the department was Dec. 20.
Nixon says Kuckenbecker’s separation is legally disputed and the rights of all parties need to be safeguarded, preventing him from elaborating on the advice of City Attorney Roger Morgan.
Kuckenbecker had been the department’s chief for seven years. Last fall, he was reelected as president of the Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police.
