The Weekend Rains led to a pair of individuals and their pets getting stranded due to high water.
The post below is from the Branson Mo Fire Rescue Facebook Page:
Over the weekend, Branson Fire Rescue responded to the area of Cox Hospital for a water rescue in Roark Creek. Two apparatus, the Battalion Chief and our water rescue boat responded to the area and found two individuals and their two dogs that had been stranded by high water. Four swift water rescue technicians with specialized training and equipment were able to use a shallow water crossing technique to contact the victims and walk them safely to shore.
Branson Fire Rescue reminds you that 6" of swift water has enough power to float a vehicle. Always respect the water, watch forecast to know when the water levels have the potential to rise quickly, and turn around don't drown.
