Mike and Rocky are trainers at Branded Equine Based Therapy Services who completed the program themelves.
Branded Equine Based Therapy Services was founded Speech Theraptist by Lindsay Gabbard. She appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" with the trainers. Gabbard explained that they provide training for the organization's veteran and first responder program.
Mike and Rocky went through the program themselves. They mentor participants as they train a wild mustang.
After training, participants have the chance to take their mustang home. Rocky took his home, but Mike couldn't take the mustang he trained because of his location.
Interestingly enough, Rocky was interested in horses. He took part in the program to get his wife a horse.
However, he found himself attached to the horse. Later, Gabbard talked about a barn-building project.
Branded Equine Based Therapy Services offers physical, occupational and speech therapy, and all of the therapies involve horses. Additional information is available on the organaztion's website. More was discussed on the broadcast.
