A Boone County woman has been charged with theft by receiving after several items reported stolen were found in her possession.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a home break-in off Arkansas Highway 206. The victim stated her deceased father’s residence had been broken into and a large gun safe had been stolen. She stated the safe contained 17 guns, silver coins, land plot maps and other paperwork. In addition, the victim stated jewelry, Indian artifacts, knifes and silverware sets were stolen.
During the investigation, deputies found numerous silver coins had been sold to two different pawn shops in Harrison by suspect, 39-year-old Jessica Snow. Snow is a probationer with a search waiver on file and when deputies conducted a home visit they located two firearms in her bedroom which were confirmed to be on the list of stolen firearms provided by the victim. In addition, deputies found a ziploc bag on the bedside table containing a leafy green substance believed to be marijuana. Under the bed was also one glass and one metal pipe where the glass pipe tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
An executed warrant also recovered multiple firearms, silver coins and jewelry.
During an interview, Snow stated her husband had brought the stolen guns home and the silver coins belonged to his deceased uncle. She continued to deny the silver coins were stolen, but did admit going to local pawn shops with her husband and another individual to sell them.
Snow has been charged with theft by receiving, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful transfer of stolen property to a pawnbroker. She was released from the Boone County Detention Center on $20,000.
