    The full release is below:

On March 3, 2026, Boone County Sheriff’s Office leadership was made aware of a social media post alleging that an inmate had been injured during an altercation with detention staff at the Boone County Jail. The post included a booking photo of inmate Jackie Glover from February 27, 2026, displayed alongside a screenshot image reportedly taken during a CityTeleCoin video visitation on March 3, 2026. In the March 3 image, Glover appeared to have multiple injuries to his face.

On March 4, 2026, an internal review was conducted to examine the circumstances surrounding the allegation. The review determined that the injuries sustained by inmate Jackie Glover were the result of an altercation between inmates within the detention facility. The investigation found no evidence that detention staff were responsible for the injuries. During an interview with BCSO Investigators, Inmate Glover stated his injuries were not a result of any attack made by law enforcement officer.

Detention staff reported that another incarcerated individual was involved in the altercation with Glover. Following the incident, inmate Glover was offered medical attention but declined treatment.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting the constitutional rights and safety of all individuals, whether incarcerated or not. We do not condone the use of excessive force by law enforcement officers or detention staff. Allegations of this nature are taken seriously, and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to transparency, accountability, and providing professional service to the citizens of Boone County.
