After being recommended by the Budget and Finance Committee, the full Boone County Quorum Court last week to approve another request from the Boone County Regional Airport.
Airport Manager Judy McCutcheon, who had just presented a check to the county reimbursing the them for a recent project, requested $400,000 as part of a Grant Application for a new 70 x 60 feet hangar. The grant would see the state pay 80% of the cost with the other 20% covered by the airport.
According to the Harrison Daily Times, the full court voted unanimously to approve the funding. McCutcheon also stated in the Daily Times recap that the grant should be approved later this month after which advertisements for bids will be issued.
