A Boone County man has been charged after allegedly firing a gun towards his neighbor after his dog got loose and tried to attack her dog.
20-year-old Denver Garcia is facing charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and discharging a firearm within the city limits after the incident in October involving Garcia and a neighbor. Garcia allegedly shot a gun toward her after an incident involving their dogs. Garcia claimed to authorities that he felt the neighbor was coming towards him in a threatening manor and was defending himself.
Garcia was booked and released from the Boone County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
