A 32-year-old Harrison man is facing charges for assaulting his grandfather.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Whittenburg went to his grandfather’s residence on Estes Road on January 12 and demanded money. When he refused to do so, Whittenburg started damaging the house while his Aunt called his mom to try to calm him down. The situation eventually escalated with Whittenburg attacking his grandfather.
Whittenburg is facing a felony charge of Second-Degree Domestic Battery and several misdemeanor charges.
He is currently in the Boone County Jail with bond set at $25,000 with his next court appearance on February 23.
