Boone County Man Arrested for Assault and Threats

A Boone County man is facing multiple charges for assault and threatening his family.

30-year-old Cody Lewis Richardson of Everton is facing six charges for the incident that happened in June according to court documents, which states that the victim contacted the Boone County Sheriff's office to report that she had been strangled several times by Richardson who also threatened to kill her and take their kids away and possibly kill them if she tried to see them. 

When office approached Richardson, he fled but was later apprehended. A rifle was also found belonging to Richardson in the residence. 

Richardson is facing several felony and misdemeanor charges in this case. He posted a $15,000 bond and is ordered to have not contact with the victim or the children.
