A Boone County man has been arrested after an argument with his girlfriend became physical.
According to the probable cause affidavit, in December, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence along Sangsing Hollow Road in Harrison for a report of a physical disturbance. The caller stated that her boyfriend, 30-year-old Zachery Halbmaier, had beat her up and told authorities she ran to a neighbor’s house to get away from him.
Both Halbmaier and the victim were found with marks on their bodies indicating a physical confrontation had taken place.
Halbmaier was booked into the Boone County Detention Center and was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and interference with emergency communications. He was released on a $3,000 bond. He was ordered no contact with the victim.
