Ginger with the Boone County Library joined KHOZ's "Around the Table" program on Tuesday to let library customers know that they are closed this week, but they will reopen on Monday, January 10 following the installation of new carpet in the children’s department.
The library has been working to raise funds throughout 2021 for the project. Ginger expressed her gratitude to the library patrons for their support. Tho
se donations along with funds from the Library’s budget made is possible to replace the flooring.
The library has already replaced the downstairs carpet in recent years thanks to a donation from Scarsdale family.
“People love the library. People say it’s a thing of the past, it’s not,” Ginger said.
She went on to describe some of the ongoing activities the library offers for kids and adults including book clubs, genealogy, crafts, telescopes, fishing poles, and more.
