Patrick Hunter, executive director of the Boone County Heritage Museum talked Friday about the new museum building.
He said museums move slow. "One might find a museum even operationally ten years behind the pass, but the fact is, right now is a very important time," Hunter said Friday during KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast. Hunter added that it's important because the museum has a new building; possession of the building was made possible by the Harrison School District.
Hunter credited the district's "generosity" and assistance with building along with a "great deal on the property." The building sits on two and a half to three acres. Because of this, the museum has enough square feet to annex for the purpose of creating a "fully-fledged archive room."
More information can be found on the museum's website. Hunter can be reached by email at bchm@windstream.net.
Hunter discussed the new building and more during the broadcast. The executive director started at the museum on Nov. 29. The full interview with Hunter is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
